Why Go: Keep it down-home-y with a fish buffet and the blues.

Why Go: Locals get freaked out when an undercover government agent shows up in their small town. A production by Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts.

Where/When: The Sheldon Galleries, 3648 Washington Blvd., mid-town; opening reception 6-8 p.m. Friday, exhibit runs through August 6.
Why Go: What a man! He was born in St. Louis, even went to high school here. (I could tell you but go find out at the exhibit, his yearbook is featured) The exhibit includes a lot of memorabilia including a sympathy letter he wrote to Evie Karloff when his friend Boris Karloff died and a whole lot more. Why Go: Larry Lee and Randle Chowning are singers/songwriters who were founding members of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, back in the day. This is their St. Louis debut. Emily Higgins opens.
Pricing: $17.50 advance, $20 at the door

Where/When: St. Louis Zoo, 1 Government Dr., Forest Park; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
Why Go: A great opportunity to give a little TLC back to the zoo animals. After all they need another level of attention besides all the gawking and pointing!
Pricing: Free admission to the zoo, $4 admission to the children's zoo unless you get there the first hour it opens. Free for those younger than 2 and there is a $10 Safari pass available with lots of amenities including a free bag of candy, while supplies last.
