St. Louis 3PL Sunset Transportation Expands Leadership Team To Benefit Customers

Craig Marton appointed new president/COO; Founder Jim Williams becomes chairman/CEO

ST. LOUIS — To enhance customer service and savings, Sunset Transportation recently expanded its leadership team. Craig Marton was recently named new president and COO of the St. Louis-based third party logistics provider, while founder Jim Williams is transitioning to chairman and CEO.

This new leadership appointment supports Sunset’s continued double-digit growth and positions the company to provide even more benefits to clients and partners alike.

Marton is a seasoned leader and strategist with experience across multiple industries and market channels. He most recently served as president and CEO of LMC Industries, Inc., a long-term client of Sunset Transportation. While at LMC, Marton boosted sales and improved efficiencies in spite of the recession and automotive downturn.

Marton brings proven experience to take Sunset to the next level of maturity—over $100 million in sales—and successfully position the company for the future.

With Marton leading day-to-day business operations, as well as, mid and long term strategic planning and implementation, Williams is advising on strategic decisions as needed and focusing on business development and acquisitions, including the development of branch locations across the country. Marton will also be mentoring Williams’ daughter, Lindsey Graves, currently vice president of operations, to prepare her to become the leader of Sunset in the future, ensuring continuity and a clear succession plan.
