Carman Trails students win Hummer Limo ride

What says rock star like a Hummer Limo? Students at Parkway’s Carman Trails Elementary school in Manchester, MO won the opportunity to ride in a Hummer Limo for being top fundraiser sellers.  The 32 students were picked up at school in two groups of 18 and rode in style to Dairy Queen in Valley Park for an ice cream sundae. The top seller, who was 4th grader Sydney Stock, was given the opportunity to select any item off their ice cream menu. She chose the Oreo Brownie Earthquake. Along with 4th grade teacher Mr. John Stamm and a few parent volunteers, the new Assistant Principal, Mr. Aaron McPherson rode along as chaperones. This gave Mr.
McPherson the chance to get to know some of his students in a much more personal way. He really enjoyed seeing the faces of the students when they first saw the Hummer pull up to school. He also got a kick out of the children’s reaction to the enormous size of the limo. “When they got in the limo, the hardest part for many was choosing their seat. Not because of deciding who to sit with, but just deciding which of the 27 seats they wanted to sit in.” Pictured next to the Hummer are winners 5th graders Quinn Paszek and Sam Seitter.
