
Christian Brothers College High School senior, ETHAN SUNTRUP, from Town and Country, MO, has been selected to participate in the 2012 U.S. Naval Academy's Summer Seminar program in Annapolis, MD.
  Each year, the U.S. Naval Academy invites a select group of 2,250 young men and women from across the nation and abroad to attend the summer seminar. The seminar is a fast-paced leadership experience for rising seniors in high school. The seminar helps educate, motivate and prepare selected students who are considering applying for admissions to the USNA.
 Suntrup will participate in the program and learn about life at the prestigious military academy, where academic, athletics and professional training are key elements in developing the nation's leaders. Suntrup will attend a six-day session and experience life at the Academy.

  The Summer Seminar has an academic focus, with each student attending eight 90-minute workshops, covering subjects from information technology, naval architecture and mechanical engineering, to oceanography, mathematics, history and meteorology. The Summer Seminar is led by Naval Academy Midshipmen with oversight by active duty Navy and Marine Corps officers.Â
