A new community garden is open at Delmar Baptist Church located at 1001 Municipal Center Dr., Town and Country, MO
The church has been working with the Town and Country Green Commission to expand community gardening opportunities to a second location within the city. The additional 30 plots on the church’s property will double the number of garden spaces available to those who work and live within the Town and Country community.
Delmar has had a small vegetable garden for several years and has donated the summer harvest to the Circle of Concern food pantry in Valley Park, MO. The Rev. Chris Fillingham, Senior Pastor, says that “Delmar has been blessed with many sacred spaces and we want to share them with our neighbors and be good stewards of the land. We also hope that those who garden with us will share some of their extra produce to increase the donations to Circle of Concern.”
