Local Author Lets Loose the Moose

Local St. Louis author, Linda Fogarty, released her first children’s book, A Moose on the Loose.  Perfectly suited for holiday gift giving, this magical messenger Moose delivers notes from Santa on noteworthy days (or Santa may collaborate on note giving with the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Cupid, or other favorite childhood figure) helping parents teach children everything from good deeds to manners to housekeeping with the power of positive praise and constructive criticism.

The Moose helps parents to reinforce “Good Doing” and use “Mess Ups” as lessons all year long.  Children love the hide n’ seek game to find their notes attached to the huggable stuffed Moose accompanying the book.  The whole experience brings new traditions, memories and keepsakes to the family.

Ms. Fogarty is an attorney and mother of four children.  The Moose on the Loose story was inspired by the notes of encouragement and guidance received by her own children from “Santa”.  A resident of the southwest suburbs of St. Louis, Linda Fogarty and “Moose” are available for story time engagements. The book, along with the loveable stuffed Moose is available to order online at
