Ever wish you had immediate access to a pharmacist from your work or home? On May 10 at noon, you will.
Ask the Pharmacist is part of “Help for Your Health,” BJC's employee wellness program. Missouri Baptist Medical Center resident pharmacist Duane Wesche, RPh, takes questions about prescription and over-the-counter drugs submitted from the public and employees through www.bjchealth.org.

Since it began, Wesche has answered hundreds of questions ranging from “Can I give my 30-pound, three-year-old child, Children's Nyquil and Children's Allegra?” to “What are the drug interactions with Robitussin CF?”
Last year, Wesche began answering questions not only in writing, but on video as well. Thousands of people watched the videos on YouTube, while many others viewed them on the Ask the Pharmacist page of www.bjchealth.org.

On May 10, Wesche will answer questions in a live chat. “Understanding and knowing about medications is so important but people do not know who to ask, or may be intimidated and not ask,” says Wesche. “Providing multiple venues and ways for everyone to ask questions and learn is essential to giving patients the knowledge required to take or use their medications properly. BJC is making this happen for the general public.”
The chat starts at noon and will last an hour. You can access the chat here: http://www.bjchealth.org/ask-the-pharmacist-chat
