Private School Conference on Gifted Education Hosted by St. Louis Association of Gifted Education (SAGE)
On Friday, October 19, seventeen of St. Louis’ private schools converged upon South Tech High School for SAGE’s first-ever GAPS program (Gifted Advocacy for Private/Parochial Schools) conference. They were there to spread the word that private schools can provide a challenging and supportive learning environment appropriate for gifted students.Â
The conference was well-attended, despite conflicting with a Cardinals game, and represented schools included:

SAGE is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which provides information and support for parents, educators, students, psychologists, and others interested in developing the talents of high-potential children. GAPS partners specifically with educators, administrators and parents in the private/parochial sectors to share ideas and promote awareness of the special needs of gifted and talented children. SAGE supports gifted children and their families in finding schools that meet their child's unique cognitive needs."
