REALTORS® Gain Inspiration and Knowledge from Local Leaders

The St. Louis Association of REALTORS® (SLAR) and Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR) held a leadership retreat this week designed to ignite leadership and passion within their members. Ignite 2013, the name and theme for this year’s event was attended by REALTORS® throughout the Greater St. Louis area. Presenters for the retreat were comprised of a handful of proven leaders from Missouri including CEO of Re/Max Boone Realty and former National Association of REALTORS® Vice President, Elizabeth Mendenhall, Creve Coeur Mayor, Barry Glantz, entrepreneur and past President of the Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund, Vicki Sheehan, and former City of Clayton Alderman, Elizabeth Robb.

Retreat attendees learned the characteristics of a good leader, how to use social media for a cause and to grow business, and how to market and connect with all personality types. The event closed with a Strategic Community Placement Panel where REALTORS® discussed career stumbling blocks, their personal value system, and how to balance their work and personal lives.
