Students at Carman Trails welcomed in the spring during their annual May Day Celebration. All grades participated by singing and dancing, including the traditional fourth grade sword dance and fifth grade May pole dance. Carman Trail alumni were invited to join the current students and staff in singing the school song. The fifth grade students challenged the staff to a game of tug of war in which the fifth grade was victorious. Teacher of the year, Nicole Reiling, and retiring teacher, Marilyn Chapman, were honored at the celebration and even received a special rap song written and performed by music teacher Graeme Allen. Fourth grader, Elizabeth Chapman said "May Day is the most exciting
time of the year. “
