Town & Country Resident Named AGC of St. Louis Board Chairman

ST. LOUIS, MO (January 2, 2013) Dirk G. Elsperman, Executive Vice President/COO of Tarlton Corporation, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Associated General Contractors of St. Louis (AGC).  He succeeds Kelly Kenter of Sitelines, Inc., who remains on the AGC Board of Directors in the capacity of Immediate Past Chairman.  

Mr. Elsperman is a passionate proponent of the AGC and throughout the years has served on numerous committees locally and for AGC of America.  Dirk has chaired both labor and advocacy committees of the AGC of St. Louis and is a two-time honoree as “Chairman of the Year”; he also chaired the AGC of America’s Building Division in 2008-2009.  Elsperman joined the AGC of St. Louis Board of Directors in 2010 and currently serves on the AGC of America Board of Directors.  Dirk continues a family tradition as the fourth in his family to serve as Chairman of the Board for AGC of St. Louis. 

Other officers of the AGC for 2012 are:  Chair Elect of the Board – Paul Hartwig, ACME Constructors, Inc.; Vice Chair of the Board – Joseph M. Kaiser, BSI Constructors, Inc.; Secretary – Phil Hocher, Pace Construction Company; and, Treasurer – Ryan Freeman, McCarthy Building Companies.
