Veterans Day Celebration at Barretts Elementary School

Barretts Elementary School students honored over fifty Veterans at an all school assembly on Friday, November 9th.  The Veterans were treated to a Color Guard presentation by our Boy Scout troop.  Musical numbers were sung by the 4th and 5th grade Girls Honors Choir directed by Bridget Zimmermann.  Three 5th grade students, Nathan Ulz, Alexa Spoerle, and Sam Gann were chosen to read essays to all of the attendees about what it means to be a Veteran.  The Veterans also had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their military branch.  The celebration ended with a parade through the halls of Barretts and a reception in the Library.  It was a wonderful experience for all.
