Westminster Christian Academy is pleased to announce that it has exceeded its 2012-2013 enrollment goal with an enrollment of 961 students.
Director of Admissions Peggy Johnson says a number of factors contributed to high enrollment numbers this school year. “Westminster was blessed by a record number of on-campus visitors, which translated into a strong applicant pool,” says Johnson. “More and more families are considering Westminster because of the integration of faith into a competitive academic program.”
Westminster’s education experience has been designed as a six-year program for grades 7-12, to prepare and equip each student to make a difference in the world. This year, to respond to the needs of 21st-century learners, all middle school core teachers were equipped with iPads to enhance teaching and learning and help prepare students to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
Furthermore, the school’s core curriculum has recently expanded to include a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) course in the Middle School at the same time that a STEM major has become an option for upper school students.
