Westminster invites the community to Head of School Jim Marsh’s Retirement Celebration

ST. LOUIS – On Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2 p.m., Westminster Christian Academy will host a retirement program and reception honoring Head of School Jim Marsh for his 28 years of service to Westminster and its community. The greater St. Louis community is invited to attend this memorable event.
The program will feature special speakers, a musical piece performed by the alumni choir, jazz music by a student jazz combo, a special video, and presentation of the Jim Marsh Endowment for Financial Aid.
Marsh began his tenure as Westminster’s head of school in 1985. Under his leadership, the school has experienced an increase in student enrollment and, most recently, a campus relocation to Town & Country in August 2011. Marsh has been influential in assisting the Board of Directors in the search for his successor and plans to help with the transition of leadership. His retirement will be effective July 31.
“The history of Westminster, to this point, will always be directly associated with Jim Marsh,” says President of the Board of Directors Steve Linton. “His belief in Christian education, incredible vision, and love for the Westminster community have made the school what it is today.”
