
The Westminster Christian Academy girls’ golf team is the new 2011 State Champions.
The girls’ varsity golf team completed their “perfect” season Tuesday when they did what they have done all season long—win!
In doing so, they were able to shatter the state record for margin of victory. The old record was 62 strokes set in 2006.

The Wildcats defeated the second place team by a whopping 91 strokes.
Brooke Cusumano was crowned as the new State Individual Champion as well. Her scores of 80 and 84 bested the field for her first State title.

Staying right with her nearly stroke-for-stroke was Team Captain Margaret Moore whose scores of 82 and 85 placed her in the third spot overall.
Jordan Wolf, nursing a bum wrist, was able to play strong enough to capture the fourth spot with her scores of 84 and 84.
Ciara Younger was a bright spot on the two-day tournament turning in scores of 87 and 87, which was good enough for the seventh out of the field of 88 players.
Maggie Mauze rounded out the team of five Westminster girls who competed and brought home the first girls’ State Championship for the new Westminster Christian Academy campus.
