More than 600 guests—a record number—turned out to celebrate St. Louis Blues alum and Chief Operating Officer, Bruce Affleck, and his wife, Cecily, as the honorees of Youth In Need’s 26th annual Celebration of Youth dinner and auction on March 2. Through ticket purchases, sponsorships, auction items and charitable pledges, this year’s Celebration of Youth raised a record $425,000.
“We were thrilled by the amount of support our community showed this year’s honorees,” said Pat Holterman-Hommes, Youth In Need’s President and CEO. “We’re thankful for everything the Afflecks do for children and families, and nothing could be more fitting in honoring them than raising this record amount. This year’s Celebration of Youth also has proven, once again, that our donors understand that not every child and family has the same resources and that there is a great need right now for services like ours.”
AAA Insurance, American Direct Marketing, Laird Technologies, Rick and Mary Leach, Musick Construction, St. Louis Blues 14 Fund, St. Louis Blues Alumni Association and Summit Distributing were among Celebration of Youth’s leading sponsors. In addition, Youth In Need’s programs and services are funded, in part, by its 2013 Children’s Partners, including Mercy as the exclusive Principal Partner.
