Meet Ambassador Cottontail during his visit to Wildlife Rescue Center on March 30th!
On Saturday, March 30, 2013, The Wildlife Rescue Center will host the Wildlife and Times of Ambassador Cottontail. Children will receive a keepsake photo taken with the rabbit himself!
In addition to the commemorative photo opportunity, children will participate in fun and games that foster the natural connection between people and wildlife, inspiring the conservationist within.

“Our message to our community is simple. As you begin to get your homes and gardens ready for warmer weather, look for nature's sign of abundance, and be aware of the needs of the rabbits who may share your backyard”, said Penelope Beache, Director of Resource Development for the Wildlife Rescue Center.
In 2012, the Wildlife Rescue Center treated 1,100 orphaned and injured wild cottontails. The event is designed to raise funds and friends to support the mission and work of the Center. Nearly every creature passing through our doors is admitted due to an incident that is directly or indirectly human-caused. These include car strikes, attacks by domestic animals, and injuries accidentally or intentionally inflicted. Dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to repair and support healing while maintaining the wild integrity of each animal. The Center does not receive funding and relies on generous donations from the public.
