Get Out For Shakespeare, Food, Music and Messes

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, "Patch" has you covered in this week's Get Out.

GREEKFEST in Town and Country
Where: The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Monday at .
Why go: Take the family to this fun annual festival and experience Greek culture, food, dance and music.
Pricing: Parking, shuttle and admission to the festival are free. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

in Manchester
Where: Karaoke nights are from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Why go: Let loose and enjoy karaoke with DJ Bill at this friendly local bar. The colorful marine decor is dotted with surf boards, anchors, pirate accessories and more. This smoking bar serves pizza to keep your energy up while you sing.

WILD BIRD SANCTUARY SING-ALONG in Town and Country
Where: The sing-along will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at .
Why go: Join in any time during the above hours. The sing-along will be led by two musicians with live birds as well as items to teach children about the environment.
Price: This event is free, and reservations are not required.

THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, FOREST PARK SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL  
Where: Pre-show entertainment begins nightly at 6:30 p.m. Performances will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday and continue nightly (except Tuesdays) until June 19 in Shakespeare Glen.
Why go: Enjoy a free performance of Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare in Forest Park. Stop by in Town and Country before the show and take a picnic or buy food and beverages at the festival.
Pricing: Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. Chair rentals are available for $7 and $10. Performances are wheelchair accessible, and Thursday performances include sign language for the hearing impaired.

ECKERT'S MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVAL
Where: The festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at Eckert's Farm in Belleville. Live music can be heard from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
Why go: Enjoy great food, live music, free wagon rides, pony rides, a children’s play area, a petting farm, carnival rides, and inflatables. Strawberry treats (it is strawberry picking season) will be available in the bakery, custard shop and restaurant.
Pricing: Admission is free, but there is an additional cost for food, beverages and some children's activities. Pick your own strawberries for $2.49 per pound, however, for the most up-to-date crop information, check Eckert’s Harvest Hotline. Hotline phone number is 618-233-0513 ext. 6.

RIB AMERICA FESTIVAL, downtown St. Louis
Where: The festival will take place 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (free general admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (free general admission from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) Monday at the Soldier's Memorial.
Why go: Ribs, ribs and more ribs! Enjoy music from Puddle of Mudd, Kansas, Collective Soul, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Candlebox, Loverboy, Montrose, Mark Farner, Seven Mary Three, Pat Travers Brown Bottle Fever, Fabulous Motown Revue, Well Hungarians, Shooting With Annie and Healing Sixes, among others.
Pricing: Admission price is $7. It will be held rain or shine, and tickets are nonrefundable. There will also be $2 off admission coupons available at select St. Louis area U.S. Cellular locations, good for one day of admission per person while supplies last. Food, beverage and game tickets are available at various ticket tents located throughout the event site. All food, beverage and game vendors will only accept tickets. Tickets may be purchased in strips of seven for $10 or three tickets for $5, at cash-only ticket tents located throughout the event. ATMs are available near ticket tents.

GUY FIERI FOOD BOOK SIGNING in the Central West End
Where: Noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at Left Bank Books
Why go: Left Bank Books and Sauce Magazine present Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for a one-hour book signing to celebrate his latest book. At this book signing, you will meet Guy Fieri, receive a signed copy of Guy Fieri Food, and take a picture with Guy.
Pricing: Tickets are $29.99 plus tax per person, and space is limited. Purchase tickets online at Brown Paper Tickets.

MAKE A MESS: ST. LOUIS ART MUSEUM FAMILY SUNDAYS
Where: Family Sundays will be from 1 to 4 p.m.
Why go: This month, Family Sundays are outside, so attendees "can create art using messy materials and sloppy supplies." Aprons are provided. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside the museum.
Pricing: This event is free.

SPRING TO DANCE FESTIVAL
Where: The dance festival will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Blanch M Touhill Performing Arts Center. Shows will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Terrace Lobby with informal interactive demonstrations, 6 p.m. in the Lee Theater with first-come first-served seating, and 7:30 p.m. in the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall with reserved seats.
Why go: Enjoy three nights with thirty dance companies, including fist time appearances by the Dance Theatre of Harlem and Martha Graham Dance Company. This is probably the best deal of the weekend, maybe even the month, with dancers showcasing amazing dance moves with a new dance program each night.
Pricing: Tickets are $10 per evening and include all three shows.

Beacon Festival 2011
Where: The festival will take place beginning Monday through June 6. There are different times and locations for events, so check the website for complete details.This fundraiser follows the Beacon-sponsored University City Library Memorial Day Race.
Why go: The kickoff to the festival is an 11:30 a.m. Memorial Day brunch at Winslow's Home & Farm. Other festival  events include an eclectic art showing at the Bruno David Gallery from Charles "Chip" Reay, a reading by Kathleen Finneran, Washington University author in residence and Guggenheim Fellow and a harpsichord concert by virtuoso Charles Metz in his downtown condominium.
Pricing: Tickets for the brunch are $175 each for adults, $250 for sponsors and $10 for children younger than 12. Tickets for other events range from free to $30, as well as two, four and all festival day passes, ranging from $50 to $350.
