No Charges in Dierbergs Soup Tampering Case

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office has declined to seek charges in a case involving a man who witnesses said they saw adding something to a pot of soup at the salad bar of the Diebergs at 421 Lafayette Center.

KMOX reported the news via Twitter, adding that the prosecutor’s office said there were broken-up caplets “seen” in the soup, but that the item was tossed.

As Patch reported previously, Manchester Police and the FBI investigated the matter after store surveillance video of the incident was released to the media.

A suspect was arrested in connection to the supposed soup spiking, which occurred on March 28, but today’s news from the prosecuting attorney’s office means no charges will be filed.
