Parkway Reminder: School Times Change Monday

A reminder to parents and students, start and end times for Parkway schools change Monday morning.

The Parkway School Board voted to change the times last month. Superintendent Keith Marty said the time changes were necessary because too many students were not getting to class on time.

District officials said the tardiness was a result of changes this year, including moving back the start time of middle schools and adding 20 additional minutes to elementary schools. Those changes pushed bus schedules too close together, forcing some bus drivers to deliver students to school late on a regular basis.

Monday, start and dismissal times are changeing by five to ten minutes. Following is the time change for all schools, depending on the school's tier. All Parkway schools fit into one of three tiers.
