Family ties in St. Louis brought Ryken to the city often while growing up. Visits with his grandparents, who lived in Crestwood, and trips to watch the Cardinals play at the old Busch Stadium made St. Louis a frequent destination for Ryken and his family during his childhood. Ryken currently lives in Wheaton with his wife Lisa and their five children: Josh, Kirsten, Jack, Kathryn, and Karoline.
