Standoff Ends With Surrender, No Injuries in Manchester
Two loaded guns, plus additional ammunition were seized after an "armed suicidal suspect" was eventually taken into custody by police in Manchester.

Manchester police confirmΒ the situation began to unfold aroundΒ 7:25 p.m. Wednesday when Manchester Police were dispatched to 415 Auber Drive for aΒ suicidal suspect with a gun. At the residence, a woman reportedly told officers her 38-year-old ex-boyfriend was suicidal, armed with a handgun and barricaded in a bedroom, according to KSDK.com.

Manchester police saidΒ officers initially tried communicating with the man barricaded in the home, then asked for assistance from theΒ St. Louis County Police Tactical OperationsΒ Unit.Β

Both a friend of the man and members of the tactical unit spoke with him as he remained in the home. Tactical unit officers were eventuallyΒ able to persuade the man to surrender.
Vaughn tells PatchΒ the man was safely taken into custody and nobody was injured during the incident.
