Town and Country Mayor, Aldermen Sworn in For New Terms
Town and Country Mayor Jon Dalton and four aldermen were sworn in Monday night, after being re-elected to their seats in the April 2 election.
Prior to Monday night's Town and Country Board of Aldermen the city's re-elected leaders were sworn in to serve their new terms.
Re-elected Mayor Jon Dalton and aldermen Lynn Wright, Tim Welby, Jon Benigas and Fred Meyland-Smith all took an oath of office after the official election results were read by the city clerk.
The mayor serves a four-year term in Town and Country, while aldermen serve two-year terms.

Four of seats on the Town and Country Board of Aldermen were up for election in April: Lynn Wright from Ward I, Tim Welby from Ward II, Fred Meyland-Smith from Ward III and Jon Benigas from Ward IV. Town and Country's Mayor Jon Dalton's term also expired in April.Â
