As a response to "culture of violence", in St. Louis region, faith communities are urging kids, tweens, teens and parents to exchange violent toys, video games, and movies for a non violent ones to encourage healthy dramatic play and entertainment time. Â
Research shows that "non violent toys and continues exposure to violence through play and entertainment (i.e., games, T.V., etc) does desensitizes kids to violence and makes them less empathic towards others." You can find more facts about toy guns on our website at www.toygunbuyback.org.Â
