Viewfinder: Pinewood Derby Districts Brings Hundreds to Parkway West Gym
The New Horizons Scout District in St. Louis County held its annual Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts. Seventy volunteers and technology kept it running smoothly.
More than 500 Cub Scouts from the New Horizons District met at the Parkway West gym for the annual district Pinewood Derby. Up to eight scouts from each pack in the district could come. The New Horizon District includes packs and troops from Kirkwood, Brentwood, Webster Groves, Rockwood and Parkway school districts. There are more than 7,500 scouts and 3,000 adult volunteers involved in the district.
