Westminster names Jason Thompson as middle school guidance counselor.

Westminster has named Jason Thompson as middle school guidance counselor, effective August 1, 2015. Thompson will provide support for students in their academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. He will also serve as an advocate for students and a consultant for parents and teachers.
“I am looking forward to discovering the numerous God-given gifts that are in each of my students and encouraging them to use these unique attributes to bring Him glory by bettering themselves and others,” says Thompson. “I am also excited about inspiring students to bloom wherever God wants to plant them in the future.”
Thompson received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Master of Arts in Counseling from Saint Louis University. In addition, he is a licensed professional counselor for Missouri. Prior to his tenure at Westminster, Thompson worked as a substance abuse counselor for three years, an elementary and middle school counselor for fourteen years, a private therapist for twelve years, and an adjunct professor for Lindenwood University, Missouri Baptist University, and Saint Louis University for eight years.
