Westminster Girls Swim Team Volunteers at Local Community Shop

Members of the Westminster Christian Academy girls swim team recently volunteered their time at Sunshine Mission in downtown St. Louis. On Saturday, January 30, the girls assisted Sunshine Mission Director Carol Clarkson in setting up the resale shop for Valentine’s Day.

Sunshine Mission is a community shop located on 14th and Howard Street that provides affordable clothing, household goods, children’s toys, furniture, and other items for low-income families.

The girls swim team enjoyed a time of service and community with the ministry staff, restocking shelves, cleaning, and organizing the store. “I know it seems like we should be the blessing for this ministry,” said Kent Kehr, head coach of the team. “But God has a way of showing us how He can impact lives through a ministry like Sunshine and that truly was amazing to experience.”
