Westminster Students Donate Gently-Used Items for Local Charities

Westminster Christian Academy students participate in week-long donation challenge to benefit local families and children.

Westminster Christian Academy students collected over 11,000 items during a special school donation week, In the Spirit of Giving (ITSOG), November 3-7, to benefit children in the St. Louis area and rural southern Missouri.

Westminster partnered with Promise Christian Academy for the second consecutive year in an effort to increase the amount of donations received. Students donated over 500 pairs of shoes for the Shoeman Water Project ministry and filled a box truck with clothing and household goods for local resale store, Ditto.

Each year, students bring select items throughout the week of ITSOG, including non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, paper products, gently-used clothing, and toys. As the holiday season approaches, students are excited to have the opportunity to give back to their community and others in such an intentional way.
