Westminster Students Donate Items for Local Charities

Westminster Christian Academy students collect items during their annual special school donation week, In the Spirit of Giving (ITSOG).

Westminster Christian Academy students are collecting thousands of items during their annual special school donation week, In the Spirit of Giving (ITSOG), November 7-11, to benefit children in the St. Louis area, rural Missouri, and around the world.

Each day of the week, Westminster students bring specific items for donation to particular organizations. Items the students are collecting include food, toys, board games for teens, pajamas, baby items, school supplies, and gently used outerwear. This year, items will be distributed to 11 different agencies.

Ministries and charities Westminster student donations will be sent to include:

  • ASA Christian Academy
  • Children’s Hospital – Healthy Kids Express
  • Freedom School
  • Friends of Kids with Cancer
  • Loaves and Fishes
  • Mission St. Louis
  • One Heart Ministries
  • Thrive St. Louis
  • Weekend On Wheels
  • St. Louis Area Diaper Bank
  • Sunshine Ministries

As the holiday season approaches, students are excited to have the opportunity to give back to their community and others in such an intentional way. Last year, Westminster students collected more than 22,000 items; this year, they hope to increase donations to 23,000 items.
