Westminster World Language Students Score Well on National Exams
Students excel on 2015 National Spanish Examination and National French Contest.

Congratulations to several world language students from Westminster Christian Academy who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2015 National Spanish Examinations and 2015 National French Contest.
For the National Spanish Exam, students earned a total of two gold, six silver, and 12 bronze medals along with 46 honorable mentions. “Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 157,000 students participating in 2015.”
Sophomore Jonathan Nyenhuis and junior Haley Weinberg both earned a gold medal for their performance on the Spanish exam. Nyenhuis also scored in the 99th percentile nationally and ranked first in the local St. Louis chapter. Freshman Isabella Ortiz placed second in the local St. Louis chapter in the bilingual category.
For the National French Contest, students earned a total of two silver and four bronze medals along with 27 honorable mentions. Juniors Hannah Vitiello and Audrey O’Neill both received silver medals for their outstanding performance on the exam.
