Dozens of students, AmeriCorps volunteers and community residents came together on Saturday, September 8 to commemorate 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. They gathered at Greenwood Cemetery in Hillsdale, MO to help continue the restoration of this century-plus old, historic cemetery that has fallen into disrepair.
The 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance events took place throughout the region (including O'Fallon, MO and Belleville, IL) and involved hundreds of volunteers. United Way of Greater St. Louis spearheaded the day.
