Lawyers Association of St. Louis Salutes Kevin O’Malley Of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. with 2013 Award of Honor

ST. LOUIS – Attorney Kevin O’Malley of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. will be given highest honors by the Lawyers Association of St. Louis on April 13, 2013. O’Malley will be given the organization’s 2013 Award of Honor at a dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Arch. The Lawyers Association of St. Louis is the region’s leading organization for trial attorneys with approximately 1,200 members. O’Malley was selected for the prestigious award by a committee comprised of member lawyers, judges, and law school deans.
First awarded in 1946, the Award of Honor is given annually to an outstanding trial attorney whose service to the profession and community merits recognition to inspire others to similar service.

- His 10 years of service as a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice prosecuting organized crime and white collar crime;
- A record of defending physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits; and
- His role as senior author for the nine-volume Federal Jury Practice and Instructions treatise that is used in federal trials in the U.S.
“Kevin has an outstanding record of achievement and ethical practice that has earned this well deserved honor as a trial lawyer,” said Jim Susman, executive director of the Lawyers Association of St. Louis. Previous winners of the Award of Honor have included former Missouri Senator Thomas F. Eagleton and former Missouri Congressman Thomas B. Curtis.
O’Malley is an officer in Greensfelder’s litigation practice group and has 40 years of legal experience. He leads the firm’s practice in medical negligence and white collar crime and corporate compliance. He also focuses on product liability defense. He has tried numerous cases in the federal and state courts of Missouri as well as federal courts of California, Illinois, Nevada, and Arizona.

O’Malley earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and also has a degree in philosophy and political science from Saint Louis University. O’Malley is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
