Community Corner

Muhammad - Messenger of Peace Conference in St. Louis

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is hosting a conference to respond to allegations against history’s most peace-loving person—Prophet Muhammad. This event is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn about Prophet Muhammad from practicing American Muslims. Over the past several years Prophet Muhammad’s character has been maligned on numerous occasions, including a hateful video. This event provides an educational and civil response, demonstrates why over 1 billion Muslims revere Prophet Muhammad, and serves to build bridges of understanding. (www.muslimsforpeace.org)

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community St. Louis is holding this conference on Thursday, March 7 from 7 pm to 9 pm at St. Louis Regional Arts Commission, 6128 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63112.

The event is free and everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.

About Ahmadiyya Muslim Community:

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, the Community spans more than 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, is among the first American-Muslim organizations.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long- awaited messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) of Qadian, India. Ahmad claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad. The Community believes that God sent Ahmad, like Jesus, to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad’s advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival and moderation. He divested Muslims of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings.
