Racial issues are still very much here...

So - a year and a half later, the racial division is still alive and going strong.

Flynn Park is still the aloof school that it has always been, only now it must tolerate the busing and attendance of young Black children that were previously students at Delmar-Harvard Elementary School.

Last year, the merge was a forced success. Many families opted to change schools rather than deal with the merge of children from a less-furtunate background, or of a minority race. Those that couldn't transfer chose to spread their prejudice poison "under the table", creating tension whenever and wherever they could.

Why was the new redistricting line drawn to accomodate the same population that has always called the shots in U. City? If you look at the boundaries, it will become obvious that the minorities in University City are still being kept in certain areas, while the upper echelon of residents have had a strange line drawn so that their children may continue to attend certain schools.

When is U. City going to grow up???
