William E. Cribbin (Died February 22, 2011)

William E. Cribbin, called home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the age of 85.

A devoted and loving husband for 60 years to Clare Boland Cribbin. Beloved parent to Clare Marino (John), Bill Cribbin (Kathy), Tim Cribbin (Anne), Jack Cribbin (Peggy), Tom Cribbin (Ellie), Mary Ann Sewing (Henry), Margaret Spooner (Jack) and Dan Cribbin. Proud Grandfather to twenty-one grandchildren: Andrea Marino Powers, Kathryn, John, Jr. and Christine Marino, Anthony Cribbin, Cathleen, Timothy, Anna and Matthew Cribbin, Jack, Jr., Kathleen and Julie Cribbin, Andrew and Joseph Cribbin, Kendal, Peyton and Jack, Jr. Spooner, Taylor, Paige, Madison and Layne Cribbin and one greatgrandchild: Addyson Powers. Dear uncle and godparent to numerous nieces and nephews and a true and devoted friend to many.

Mr. Cribbin enjoyed a long and successful career in commercial printing, real estate, oil and gas interests and served for many years on the board of the First National Bank of Belleville (merged Magna Bank, now Regions Bank). Mr. Cribbin graduated from Soldan High School in St. Louis and received his B.A. in Accounting at St. Louis University. A respected leader in the community, Mr. Cribbin donated his time and fund raising capabilities to The Child Center of Our Lady, Christian Brothers College and St. Louis University. Mr. Cribbin was a proud member of the St. Louis University Dinosaurs Group, representing the last football team fielded by the University. He was inducted into St. Louis University's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis University, The St. Louis American Parkinson Disease Association or to the charity of ones choice.
