Celebrate Kids to Park Day Today in Millar Park

University City signs on for nationwide park celebration.

University City will take part the National Park Trust’s (NPT) third annual National Kids to Parks Day today, Saturday, May 18.

This year’s celebration will be held at Millar Park, located at the southeast intersection of Canton Avenue and North and South Road, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

It will include music, dance performances, free food from University City restaurants, prizes, and a fun run competition among local school teams.

University City is the only municipality in the St. Louis region hosting a National Kids to Park Day event. Last year's event featured a scavenger hunt through U City Parks.

University City and other cities across the nation are ascribing to a simple motto: “active kids are healthy kids” and encouraging their residents to use National Kids to Parks Day as the first of many days spent outdoors at local parks and recreation sites.
