It’s back! Join the U. City Chamber of Commerce for the second annual “A Taste Of U. City” on Thursday, May 9, from 5 – 8 pm at the Heman Community Center at 975 Pennsylvania Ave. at Olive Blvd. This year’s event, co-sponsored by Fifth/Third Bank, also supports Operation Food Search.
Tickets are $20 plus a donation of canned goods for OFS. (Kids 3 and under are free, and 4 - 12 are only $10.) Once inside, guests may taste a variety of food and drinks from more than 30 local restaurants and specialty food stores. This includes beer from Anheuser-Busch, mixed drinks from Major Brands, and a full variety of ethnic foods. The all-inclusive entry fee means there is no other cost for food or drinks.

This year’s event will include cooking demonstrations and local entertainment along with drawings for unique raffle prizes. After the “Taste”, stop by the Loop for a benefit concert at 7:30 pm by the Angel Band Project featuring Norbert Leo Butz joined by local female vocalist Devon Cahill at the 560 Music Center on Delmar at Trinity.
