On October 24, in honor of FOOD DAY 2012, Operation Food Search is hosting a POP UP LUNCH between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its distribution center at 6282 Olive in University City, prepared by the Chef John Johnson from River City Casino and Lumiere Casino and Hotels. Lunches are available while supplies last for a $10 donation to support NO KID HUNGRY, an awareness and advocacy campaign to end childhood hunger.

Also that day, Operation Food Search is open for tours between 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The public is also welcome to join in stuffing backpacks with food for Operation Backpack, a program that provides food for the weekend to children at risk for hunger and food insecurity. Other volunteer opportunities will be available.
