Local Churches Celebrate 3-Years of Service to Elderly and Disabled

The five local churches that participate in Safe Homes for the Elderly and Disabled (SHED) are celebrating three years of service to the elderly and disabled. At 6:30pm on Tuesday, 16 April the SHED-participant churches will host a public meeting at University United Methodist Church to report on their activities and to salute their many friends and affiliates.


The mission of the SHED-participant churches is to help elderly and disabled persons who live independently to be safe and comfortable in their homes. During the past three years SHED-participant churches have responded to over 120 requests for assistance.
