Spring Leaf Collection in University City

Spring leaf collection begins in the East Area on March 18!

Residents should place leaves curbside (not in the alley) by the Sunday night before the week long collection begins. Trucks only make one pass on each street during the week.

Spring Leaf Collection Schedule (updated due to snow):

East Area - Week of March 18(leaves curbside by (3/17/13)

West Area - Week of April 1(leaves curbside by 3/31/13)

Central Area - Week of April 8(leaves curbside by 4/7/13)

Call the Public Works and Parks Department at 314-505-8560 to verify your collection area. Rake only leaves curbside. Gumballs, small branches, plantings, shrubbery, and other yard type debris will not be removed. These items should be placed in a yard waste bag (with the required sticker) for removal on the regular trash and recycling collection day. Yard waste stickers are required on each bag from January 1 to October 14.

If you miss your collection, leaves and other yard waste can be placed in biodegradable bags and tagged with Yard Waste Stickers. Yard Waste Stickers are available ($7.50 for a sheet of 5 stickers) at City Hall, Schnucks, Walgreens, University Gardens, and Centennial Commons. Yard waste bags (with stickers) are collected on your regular trash and recycling collection day.
