Come out after work to network and unwind, and to learn more about how you can do good with your limited time.
Don Hutcheson, Regional Vice President for Panera Bread will be the keynote speaker for the Tweet Up, discussing an interesting new social experiement in St. Louis, the Meal of Shared Responsibility. The meal, a turkey chili recently introduced to St. Louis-area bakery-cafes, is a "pay what you can" option for the 1 in 6 St. Louisans who don't know where their next meal is coming from, and for those looking to help fight local food insecurity in their community.
The Meal of Shared Responsibility is a Turkey Chili in a Sourdough Bread Bowl that has no set price and provides a delicious, wholesome entrée, with dignity, to anyone – regardless of their means. There are three payment options: customers may pay the suggested amount; if they have the means, they can pay more to help cover the cost of the meal for someone who can’t afford to pay; or, if they are in need, they may pay what they can.
