U City Holds Free Electronics Recycling Event

Not sure what to do with your old and unused electronics?

Toss them in your trunk and head to the U City this Saturday.

U City is hosting an electronics recycling even to make sure that unwanted items are disposed of responsibly, with no harm to the planet...for FREE.

The electronics recycling event will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Heman Park Community Center located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue in University City.

The event is OPEN to everyone in St. Louis.

Items OK to recycle include all consumer electronics:

  • televisions
  • computers
  • home office equipment
  • large appliances.Β 

Items NOT OK to recycle at Saturday's event:

  • items containing mercury or Freon (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, etc.),
  • broken glass
  • biohazards
  • hazardous waste
  • liquids
  • fluorescent bulbs
  • smoke detectors.
