The 38th annual University City Memorial Day Run will be held on May 28, 2012. The 10 K and 5 K runs run concurrently and begin at 7:30 AM, an earlier start time this year. Participants in the 5 and 10 K events should be at the start in front of the University City Public Library (6701 Delmar Blvd., 63130) by 7:20 AM. The Fun Runs will be held on Trinity Avenue in the neighborhood behind City Hall (6801 Delmar) and will begin at 9:15 AM for children 9 and older, and at 9:30 AM for those 8 and under. T-shirts will be guaranteed for all runners entering by May 4. Technical t-shirts are available for a $10 additional fee. Awards will be given for the overall winners of the 5 and 10 K events as well as to top finishers in five year age groups. Every child finishing the Fun Run will receive a ribbon. Entry fees prior to May 28 are $20 for an adult, $10 for children 12 and under, and $55 for a family (limit four T-shirts with a family entry). Race day registration fee for adults is $25. Late registration and packet pickup will be at the library on Sunday, May 27, from noon to 5 PM, and on race day, 6-7:15 AM.
