Former Director of University City's COCA Will Spend a Semester at Harvard

The founding executive director of U City's Center of Creative Arts, will spend the spring semester at Harvard University.

Stephanie Riven, the founding executive director of the Center of Creative Arts in University City will spend the spring semester at Harvard University’s Graduate School of EducationΒ as a Visiting Practitioner. Β 

According to a press release,Β Β Riven will help to further the study of the role of the arts in schools, community arts centers and museums. She will also serve as a resource about leadership and issues in management.Β 

Riven retired from COCA in July of 2010.Β

Over a 23-year period, she conceptualized, managed and supervised COCA’s growth and development, leading it to be the fifth largest multi-disciplinary community arts center in the country serving 50,000 people annually.
