HBA Donates $10,000 to Little Sisters of the Poor - St. Louis

On behalf of the Home Builders Charitable Foundation (HBCF), HBCF President Jim Brennan of McKelvey Homes (left), HBCF Board Member Greg Vatterott of Charles F. Vatterott Construction Company (second from right) and 2013 HBA President Charlie Boyce of Innsbrook Corporation (right) presented a $13,708 donation to Gary Kolarcik, director of development for Little Sisters of the Poor – St. Louis Residence.

The donation will be used to help with tuckpointing the Little Sisters of the Poor’s eight-story facility. The building houses 115 low-income elderly residents. Since 1869, Little Sisters of the Poor have provided housing and nursing care for thousands of St. Louis’ elderly with very limited financial resources, offering them a home where they can feel a sense of respect, safety and dignity.

The HBA is a local trade association of more than 500 member firms representing the residential construction industry. The Home Builders Charitable Foundation, the HBA’s charitable arm, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing assistance to people or organizations with special shelter needs.
