One of the most significant measures of quality teaching and care is the interactions between adults and your child. Β
Β Look for interactions that:
1. Convey warmth and a sincere liking of your child
2. Are physically on your childβs eye levelβthe adult bends down to be on direct eye level with your child
3. Uses language that is appropriate for your child. Β Words or concepts are not too difficult for your child to understand, nor is it βbabyβ talk.
4. Uses open-ended questions, such as βHow do you feel about that?β or βWhat might happen next?β
5. Expands your childβs learning
6. Is clear and concise
7. Has appropriate volume
8. Is respectful of your child and others.
