Man Stole $1,000 in Cash From University City Apartment, Police Say
St. Louis County Police said a witness spotted Ahmad Hunter fleeing from the residence.

A man is accused of stealing about $1,000 in cash from a home in University City.
Ahmad Malik Hunter, 19, of the 6900 block of Corbitt Avenue in University City, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.
St. Louis County Police said Hunter entered an apartment in the 6800 block of Melrose Avenue July 6 and stole about $1,000 and a pair of Nike tennis shoes.

According to police, a witness saw Hunter flee from the apartment just before it was discovered the residence was burglarized.
Hunter is being held in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $10,000.
