Men's College Basketball: Verizon Survey Shows How it will be Watched this Year
Study conducted finds increase of viewers using mobile device
As college basketball heats up this month, a survey conducted by Verizon found one third of Americans will use a mobile device to watch this yearβs menβs college basketball tournament or monitor brackets. Additionally, 58 percent of Millennials said they plan on watching a game on their mobile device with another 40 percent planning to use their devices to keep track of their brackets.
Other findings include:
- 30 percent tournament games that Millennials watch will be on mobile devices
- Nearly half of American adults (46 percent) will tune into the menβs collegiate basketball tournament this March
- Men (59 percent) and Millennials (54 percent) are the two demographics most likely to watch the tournament
- 67 percent of Baby Boomers said they plan to watch six or more games during the tournament, followed by 48 percent of Millennials who indicated they would watch six or more games
