Novelist Ed Protzel is Honored by Missouri Writers Guild
Recognized in the Historical Fiction and Mystery Categories

ST. LOUIS β April 24, 2018 β St. Louis author Ed Protzel was honored by the Missouri Writers Guild in its 2017 Fall Fiction Contest for two of his manuscripts in two different genres: historical fiction and mystery.
The Antiquities Dealer, a noirish sci-fi mystery/thriller, came in second in the mystery category. Honor Among Outcasts, set in Missouri during the Civil War, placed third in the historical fiction category. Honor Among Outcasts was published in February by TouchPoint Press; The Antiquities Dealer will be released in late-2018.
Protzel will be reading from Honor Among Outcasts at 7 pm on Thurs., May 10, at Subterranean Books in the Delmar Loop. The free event is open to the public.
