In the summer of 1982, the Rosedale Neighbors Association held a neighborhood-wide yard sale that sparked one of the most popular traditions in the Skinker DeBaliviere neighborhood.
Now in its 32nd year, Rags to Riches remains a popular annual event for neighbors come out to do something together, get to know each other and promote community spirit. The event has been co-hosted by the Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council for many years now, and proceeds from registration fees go directly to support both organizations' neighborhood efforts and civic activities.
This year's event takes place Saturday, August 17 from 8am - 2pm. Garage sale fanatics, treasures hunters, and anyone else looking for a deal are invited to come out and explore what Skinker DeBaliviere has to offer.
